Welcome to You.Lead – New Managers’ Toolkit aimed at supporting your successful transition
to a managerial position.
The toolkit provides information, tips and tools, focusing on fundamental managerial skills and
routines.
It enables a self- learning process in which you will get familiar with, understand and apply
fundamental managerial skills and routines.
Each topic in the toolkit is divided into three main sections:
- Understand – a concise background on the topic.
- Apply – downloadable worksheet\templates for individual work and\or for applying with your
employees, team and manager.
- Read more – further reading and enrichment on the topic, in the shape of articles,
TED talks, podcasts and questionnaires.
The toolkit is formed as a matrix:
1. Timeline – your first 90 days as a manager divided to your first week,
first month and first quarter.
2. Managerial pillars - managing myself, managing tasks and managing people
We recommend managing the learning process in a chronological order – begin with topics under
‘first week’, go on to ‘first month’ and then to ‘first quarter’. Within each time frame it’s
recommended you explore all topics within the three managerial pillars – ‘managing myself’,
‘managing people’ and ‘managing tasks’.
For new managers, the process is supported by three checkpoint meetings with your HRBP &
one checkpoint meeting with your direct manager.
If you are not a new manager, you are welcome to explore the toolkit, learn and experience.
